Make a Separate RSS Feed for Each Custom Post Type in WordPress

The ability to add Custom Post Types is one of the most prominent features for WordPress. You may even want to create separate RSS feeds for each custom post type in your WordPress site. It’s a relatively simple task, much like creating a Separate RSS Feed for Each Category and Tag in WordPress.

Type the following URL:

http://www.yoursite.com/feed/?post_type=book

Now, just change the post_type name to the one that you want to have a separate RSS Feed for. If you want to make it for specific custom post type and custom taxonomy, you have to do something like this.

http://www.yoursite.com/feed/?post_type=book&genre=romance

In this code, “genre” would be the custom taxonomy, and “romance” would be the tag. To link to it, you can create a button in your side bar. You can link this feed, and you can create a separate Feedburner feed for it. It’s that simple!
